Rubies are red gems, ranging in their shades, although the deep blood-red hue is the most
sought after (and the most expensive). It should come as no supprise that its ruling planet is
that of Mars, and its elemental asociation is that of fire.
Rubies are said to strengthen the body's natural defenses. They give their wearer a sense
of invunerability against both physical and spiritual foes. It was worn by soldiers to help
prevent wounds from battle. Used in rituals, it heightens the energies present.
