Malachite is a rather lovely gem (in the webmistress' humble opinion). It is banded and
swirled with various shades of cool green. It has a receptive energy asociated with Venus and
the earth.
Malachite is most effective in guarding people (especially children) from harm. Travelers
wore it especially to prevent falls. When worn as a pendant, the stone is believed to break
into pieces to warn the wearer of danger.
Like many gems aligned with Venus, malachite has powers dealing with love. It not only
attracts love, but wearing a piece against your skin, over your heart, is said to increase
your ability to love as well.
