actually a form of green beryl.
This gem is often associated with water
and the Moon. It's energy is concidered receptive.

to help cure seasickness.
However, beryl is mostly associated with the practice of scrying.
This gem has long been believed to hold psychic powers. Crystal balls
made from beryl are considered superior over others. It has also been
carved into mirrors for the purpose of scrying and seeing into the
future.
When worn, beryl is said to prevent psychic manipulation and
facination. The charms radiated by a person are rendered useless by
this gem.
